| Warren C. Herlong, Jr.Warren C. Herlong, Jr. was born in Greenville, Alabama, in 1948. After some years overseas as the son of a career military officer, he grew up in Mobile and attended the University of Alabama where he received his undergraduate degree in 1970. He attended law school at the University of Virginia where he received his law degree in 1974. He received a Rotary International Postgraduate Fellowship in 1977 and attended the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, from which he received the Diploma of Roman Law in 1978.
While at the University of Alabama, Warren was elected to membership in Omicron Delta Kappa, Jasons, and Phi Eta Sigma. He served as President of the University of Alabama Student Government Association and received the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award. While in law school, he and his partner won the University of Virginia William Minor Lile Moot Court Competition and Warren received the Stephen Pierre Traynor Award for most outstanding final round oral argument.
Warren is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Alabama, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama, the U.S. Claims Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Warren is a member of the Mobile and Baldwin County Bar Associations and the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the International Right-of-Way Association, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, and the Owners' Counsel of America. Warren has been included in The Best Lawyers in America publication, and he is a frequent speaker at continuing education seminars in the area of eminent domain. |
